Request Account Deletion
We're sorry to see you go. If you wish to delete your DOTKO account and all associated data, please read the information below carefully before proceeding.
Deleting your account will permanently remove:
- Your profile and business information
- All uploaded documents (GST, PAN, licenses, etc.)
- All reports you have filed
- All communication history
- Your trust score and verification status
- All app settings and preferences
Note: Reports filed against your business by others may be retained for legal and record-keeping purposes as required by law (up to 7 years).
Consider these alternatives:
- Temporarily disable notifications in app settings
- Update your privacy settings to limit data sharing
- Contact our support team to resolve any issues
How to Delete Your Account
In-App Deletion
Open the DOTKO app → Go to Profile → Settings → Scroll to bottom → Tap "Delete Account" → Confirm deletion
Email Request
Send an email to support@dotko.in with subject line "Account Deletion Request" including your registered email and reason for deletion (optional)
Verification
We'll verify your identity and process your request within 48-72 hours. You'll receive a confirmation email once completed.
Data Retention Policy
After account deletion:
- Personal data is deleted within 30 days
- Backup data is purged within 90 days
- Transaction records may be retained for 7 years as required by Indian business law
- Anonymized analytics data may be retained indefinitely
